2017 USEA Horse Trial News and Updates PDF Print E-mail

Dear Competitors,

Thank you for your entry to Cobblestone Farms Horse Trials. The event date is approaching quickly and we want to make sure you are well prepared.


Your entry status is listed below. Please check carefully to make sure everything is correct, especially your division and stabling requirements. Stable Near requests will only be honored if the stabling group uses the same name.


Please note that due to the size of the show this year, these divisions will have Saturday dressage:

 Novice D – Saturday requests only, others will ride on Friday 

Beginner Novice C

Starter A

 Starter B 


Beginner Novice non-member riders are required to have a restricted USEA ID. This can be obtained through USEA online services. Prelim riders MUST supply a copy of their USEF membership card for rider, owner, trainer, or pay a $30 show pass fee for each missing card. 


All competitors must have a Cobblestone Farms Liability Release (attached) on file with the farm. If you have not already submitted this with your entry, please bring it with you at check-in.


Packets will not be released at check in until all missing items are received. We have a record number of entries this year so please help us keep the Secretary stand operating efficiently by being prepared with your entry info. Please bring your completed signature page with you if you have missing signatures.

This year we will have live scoring through Event Entries at http://www.evententries.com/livescoring


Tent stabling and trailer parking is near the stadium ring off of the Zeeb Rd. entrance. Please do not pull trailers into the main barn area on Gregory Rd. unless you have made a special request to stable there. Late arrivals please contact Jim at 734-395-2633 or Darlyn at 734-476-6972.


The Secretary office is in a tent in front of one of the two brown RV’s at the hub near the stabling area. Check-in will be open on Thursday at 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Saturday 7:00 am – 10:00 am. 


 The cross country course will be open for walking at 3:00 pm on Thursday.

Pinney numbers are paper and require the plastic holders. They will be available for purchase at the TEAMwear booth.


 Motorized vehicles are prohibited on the cross country course.


 Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.


 Eliminated riders will not be able to jump the next phase.


 Schooling will be available (weather permitting) after the last ride on Sunday. The fee is $25. Please get authorization and a pinney at the Secretary’s stand. All schooling must have prior approval from Jim Daratony at 734-395-2633 and riders need to wear a medical armband and have a responsible person with them on the ground at all times while riding.

The official show photographer is Lumineer Photography LLC. Their tent will be at the hub near the secretary stand.



The “Eventing Rocks at Cobblestone Farms” party is Saturday night at 6:30 under the big tent. Wrist band tickets for non-competitors will be on sale at the secretary stand for $15. Please join us for a fun night of celebration, music, food and drink. We will also draw the lucky winner of a free entry in the 2016 CFHT from the list of competitors who submitted their complete entry on opening day this year.

Please join us for Sunday Morning Coffee and Cowboy Prayer at 7:00 at the top of the hill.


The American Cancer Society will have a presence at the vendor area again this year with our “Jump for the Cure” product sales. We will be honoring our friend, the late Seema Sonnad with Strong Heart Strong Spirit #becauseofseema wristbands for sale with proceeds going to the ACS. Wear your “Pink Out” attire OR go “Purple Out” in honor of Seema on the cross-country course on Saturday!

Lucky’s Lunch Wagon and 3G’s Specialty Coffee Vendor will be on the grounds all weekend ready to serve you!

Attention Training Level Junior and Senior Amateurs

The Charles Owen Technical Merit Award, which aims to recognize safe and effective cross-country riding at the Training level, will return to Cobblestone Farm HT.
